I think it's important for preschoolers to know how to clean their teeth, so I'm going to tell you about 4 fun things to do that all have to do with teeth. Here are a few more tooth brushing activities for preschoolers that you can try:

  • "Toothbrush" painting: Have your child dip a clean toothbrush in paint and use it to create designs and patterns on a piece of paper. This helps familiarize them with the concept of brushing teeth and encourages hand-eye coordination.
  • "Tooth Fairy" treasure hunt: Hide small plastic teeth around the house or in the yard and have your child search for them. When they find one, they can put it in a small bag or box to be "taken" by the Tooth Fairy later.
  • "Toothbrush" play dough: Make a batch of play dough and provide your child with a clean toothbrush and a small container of water. Have them use the toothbrush to "clean" the play dough and make impressions in it.
  • "Toothbrush" race: Cut out large toothbrush shapes from construction paper and have your child race to see who can "brush" their toothbrush across the finish line first.
  • "Toothbrush" puppet show: Have your child create a puppet show using toothbrushes as the puppets. Encourage them to come up with a story about the importance of brushing teeth.
