Simply tape sticks together across the top and bottom (the number of sticks depends on how many letters are in your child’s name - one stick per letter of name) to form a “page.” Start by writing your child’s name across the top or bottom of the sticks. Be sure there is only one letter per stick. Next, begin designing your pumpkin. You can draw a pumpkin or jack-o-lantern on the sticks while they are taped together to create a subject for the puzzle. Once the design is complete, pull off the tape and mix up the sticks so your students can assemble a fun fall puzzle that includes their name!

This puzzle will promote name and letter recognition, problem-solving skills, and so much more. These puzzles are perfect for the fall season, but there are so many other holidays, seasons, and subjects that you could incorporate into this name puzzle activity!
