Fall Color Mixing Sensory Bag using Hair Gel- How to:

Before you start this project you will want to download and print Literacy Task Cards. Find some small bowls and put a small amount of clear hair gel in each one. Add a few drops of a single color of paint into each one. Mix the gel and paint together with your stirring stick.

Once all of your colors are mixed scrape them into one small Ziploc bag. Mix the colors together from the outside of the bag and then lay them flat on the table. Have your kids use their fingers to practice writing their letters on top of the Ziploc bag moving the mixture with each stroke. The Literacy Task Cards give them a great visual of what their letter is supposed to look like. Place them near this literacy center for easy access!
