Puffy Polar Bear Sensory Craft

The puffy polar bear craft is one of the easiest sensory activities for arctic animal lessons for preschool and kindergarten students this year! It Start with a Ziplock bag. Fill it with a small amount of shaving cream and press it all around the bag until it is completely white.

Supplies Needed:

  • Blue, black and white Construction paper
  • Shaving Cream
  • School glue
  • Fork
  • Pom Pom
  • Clothspin
  • Marker
  • googly eyes

This arctic animal craft goes very well with these Arctic Animal Activities and Mittens Math and Literacy centers for January . This blog contains winter activity which promotes fine motor, sensory, counting, art, and other early education skills in toddlers, preschoolers and kindergartners. 

Direction to make Puffy Arctic Bear:

  • On a blue construction paper squeeze out generous amount of shaving cream
  • Squirt School glue over it generously
  • Take up a fork and start spread the shaving cream and glue mix
  • Make a circle out of the mixture
  • Make strokes starting from inside to outwards of the circular patch
  • Put googly eyes, white oval paper , pom pom nose and draw mouth with marker.
  • Finish off by cutting and pasting ears using white and black paper
  • Once the bear is complete, using a clothspin and pom pom make snowflakes around the bear face.
  • That's it!
